Dear Readers,
So many times, I’m aways asked what is EBANMAN and who is an EBANMAN? This project was created as an extension of our brand, EBANMAN. One of the core reasons I created the brand was to showcase Black gay men from all walks of life, in various industries and life experiences but with a similar narrative that draws us together. Over the years we have showcased and connected with Black gay men doing amazing things in this world. This past year we decide to curate this project after reviewing all the inspiring interviews of Black gay men contributing to the change in the narrative.
Representation matters, the importance of this in our community cannot be overstated. This book is a celebration of the diversity within our community. As a Black gay man, I understand all too well the impact that a lack of representation can have on one's sense of self and place in society. This book is an important step towards rectifying the underrepresentation and marginalization that we have faced for far too long. The stories give a voice to our diverse experiences and the perspectives shared within these pages are a testament to the resilience, strength, and beauty of the Black Gay community.
